Food Sources

We receive  TEFAP as well as vegetable, snack items, and other donated food through the food bank.  We are also able to purchase food at discounted prices, such as canned goods, and frozen meat.

We receive food from Safeway in Discovery Bay through the Feed America program.  We also receive weekly donations from Grocery Outlet in Oakley.

Byron Delta Lions, Discovery Bay Lions, Discovery Bay Yacht Club Splashers and Discovery Bay Chamber have all been HUGE donors to the food pantry.  They have provided food through canned food drives, Christmas boxes filled with canned goods and other holiday cooking items,  Christmas gifts for children, supplies whenever needs arise, Christmas socks and coats and raised funds for the pantry's needs.  We appreciate the amazing support of these organizations. 

For example, we receive canned good donations from Highland Wholesale Foods in Stockton.   We also have received items for our Free Market from corporate donors.

Willy's Bagels in Brentwood has been a long time donor to our pantry providing their yummy bagels weekly.   We also receive produce donations from local farms like G&S Farms and Frog Hollow.

Many local groups hold canned food drives.  All God's Christian School collects food every Thursday.  As does St. Anne Catholic Church and Delta Community Presbyterian Church.  Our Byron Union School District Schools have also sponsored food drives.   OUR COMMUNITY is generous!
